Cambridge NY Traditional Music

Welcome!

This website hosts a collection of traditional tunes played by musicians around Cambridge NY. The focus of the site is to facilitate learning tunes by ear, and playing them together at sessions, contra dances, fund-raisers, and other events.

For each tune, we have collected a short recording, a chord chart, and a written melody reminder containing the first few measures of each part. Where available, we've also listed author, origin, a brief history of the tune, and links to additional information.

There are currently a total of 227 completed tunes on the site. In addition, 14 partial listings have been entered.
